About Ilfracombe, Devon

Ilfracombe is a North Devon seaside resort, surrounded by cliffs, with a view out onto Hillsborough Hill, a nature reserve and former Iron Age settlement. It has a small harbour, with boat hire available. There is no shortage of activities on offer, Explore the stunning landscape and beaches, including the Tunnels Beaches and nearby Lundy Island. Wildlife coastal cruises are popular, unless you'd prefer the museums and aquariums Ilfracombe has to offer. Try the Walker's Chocolate Museum, The Lynton and Barnstable Railway, or 11th Century Chambercombe Manor, the most haunted house in England. Or why not visit The Old Corn Mill, a charming 16th century working watermill, museum & teagardens located in Hele, a short distance from Ilfracombe? There is no shortage of things to do in this part of Devon, whatever the weather.

Getting around Ilfracombe, Devon

Ilfracombe is at the far south end of the A361, which is the town's main connection with the M5. The nearest station is Barnstaple and you can catch a bus to Ilfracombe from the railway station. There is also a regular coach service, which runs from Heathrow and London Victoria to Ilfracombe on the 502 route.

Long stay car park is a short walk away. £2.10 or £3.10 for full 24 hours parking depending the time of year you are visiting. (Unload outside our front door and take 1st turning left drive 300 yards and park in long-stay  car park)

7 Day Rover Permits around £27.00 (for Short stay car park around the corner from us or £1.00 per hour (£2.50per 24 hours in winter months).


Rover permit can also be used in many other car parks including Jubilee gardens (unreserved), Cove, Marine drive, Larkstone Lane, Hillsborough, Hele, Oxford Grove, Brookdale, Wilder Road, Croyde Village, Morthoe Town Farm, South Molton central, Barnstaple Multi story.(unreserved), Commercial Road, North Walk, Rolls Quay (unreserved ) Civic Centre, (Sat only) Fairview, Portland Buildings, Queens Street, Bear Street, Seven Brethren, Belli Meadows, Portmarsh Lane 


Long stay car park £3.10 (£2.10 winter) per 24 hours also 4 and 7 day permits available
